Meet Tammie
Hi, I’m Tammie, one of the proud owners of Dirty Secrets Cleaning. I first came to Australia in 2019 on what was meant to be a short working holiday—but I quickly fell in love with the lifestyle (and sunshine!) and decided to make Brisbane home.
What started as a cheeky idea during a social media course—sparked by Matt’s quick wit—soon became Dirty Secrets Cleaning. With a natural passion for cleaning (and a touch of OCD), I realised I could turn something I love into a business that makes people’s lives easier and homes happier.
For me, it’s never just about cleaning. It’s about connecting with families, their pets, and their routines, and leaving a space that feels fresh, welcoming, and stress-free. In 2024, the birth of our daughter, Willow, gave our mission even more meaning—reminding us why we wanted to build a business that supports families and creates a sense of home, not just for our clients but for our own little family too. When I’m not with the team making homes sparkle, you’ll often find me on horseback at Sandgate Beach, soaking up the sunrise before a busy day of cleans.
Meet Matt
Hi, I’m Matt, co-owner of Dirty Secrets Cleaning and Tammie’s partner-in-crime. My life has been a mix of iron plates, horses, and spreadsheets. I fell in love with weightlifting early on, competing internationally, and even qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (yes, the one delayed by COVID!).
Along the way, I worked in the fitness industry, running my own personal training business, and completing a Sports and Exercise Science degree. Then Tammie came into my life (she cheekily “borrowed” my details at the local golf club—classic move!) and introduced me to the hands-on world of horse racing. I quickly fell in love with working with horses, eventually joining a racing stable as a data analyst.
When Tammie decided to start Dirty Secrets Cleaning, I jumped on board to help grow our family business. The arrival of our daughter Willow in 2024 cemented why we do what we do—it’s about creating a family-oriented company that supports our team, our clients, and our own little family along the way. When I’m not problem-solving or lifting, you’ll find me visiting the stables, cheering on Tammie as she turns homes into sparkling havens, or doting on Willow as she grows alongside our business.
